Internet

  • At install, if you are renting our router, our technician will give you your password or show you where you can find it.
  • Many routers have the password on a label somewhere on the router.
    • On our router, this will be on a sticker on the barcode label marked “WPA Pre-Shared Key” or “Password Key,” depending on the model you have.
  • On the device you wish to connect, find the Wi-Fi settings (see the documentation for your device if you don’t know where this is), choose the Wi-Fi connection that matches your ICC Wi-Fi connection, and enter the password when prompted.
  • If your device gives you an option to use the push button on your router, locate the WPS button, press and hold for three seconds—then the router will send the password to your device for you.
  • If none of the above steps help, give us a call—we may be able to reset your password for you remotely.

Wi-Fi is a wireless network connection method between the device you’re using and a router in your home.
Internet is the service you are subscribing to through your internet service provider (hopefully us!).

Your Wi-Fi-enabled devices don’t connect to our service; they connect to the wireless (Wi-Fi) router in your home. Then the router connects to our service to pass the data to and from the internet using your network.

Most of the service complaints we receive are related to issues between the customers’ devices (tablets, smart TVs, mobile phones, laptops, smart speakers, etc.) and the router, not with the service we provide to the home. You may need a better router or may have a device in your network crashing the connection for everything else.

If you’re having trouble with devices connecting, we may be able to help or make recommendations! Please give us a call first so we can look at your account to ensure the issue you’re having isn’t a problem with the internet connection.
