Broadlinc is looking for local team members to support, maintian and manage the networks for our Fixed Wireless LTE products. As a Wireless Network Technician you will be responsible for our wireless system health, restoring service from outages and have a hand in on growing an exciting business.
Functions:
Ethernet cabling and network management
Diagnose customer problems at service calls and restore functional service to existing customers.
Configure routers and network devices for access to Internet services.
Perform equipment upgrades.
Assist contracted installers with advanced issues
Perform guided maintenance and testing at tower sites and headend facilities
Skills:
Ability to work independently, using sound judgement principles.
Ability to work within a fast-paced, high-change environment while managing multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout the day.
Must demonstrate a desire to learn, supported with a love for technology.
Climb and scale small towers or buildings, roofs, tv towers, ladders from 22-30 ft tall
Must possess excellent customer service skills
Must be able to handle and resolve complaints in a timely manner
Must have active listening skills
Valid Driver’s License
Good Driving Record
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Basic understanding of computer networking
Experience with LTE or Fixed Wireless internet service a plus but not required
Tower Climbing experience preferred but not required
Work Environment/Hazards:
Working in outdoor elements such as cold, hot, precipitation and wind
In proximity of heavy machinery and moving vehicles
Moderate noise level
Use of PPE
Working in elevated places such as towers
Physical Demands:
Walk, stand, climb, bend, stoop, crawl, lift, drive, sit, listen
Fit and crawl in tight spaces such as crawl spaces and basements
Climbing 22-30 ft heights on ladders
Climb up to 150 feet on towers
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
Must be able to climb roof tops of all types and to perform job duties from high places.
Must be able to pull own body weight plus equipment weight up roofs and vertical tower repeatedly
Frequently required to use hand and power tools
Working Hours/Days:
40 hours minimum
Overtime on evenings and weekends as needed
Travel Requirements:
0-20% travel required
Must be willing to travel to other parts of the state (travel and hotel paid)
